So I’m over at my brother-in-law’s house with my infant, and he (the baby) is just howling his head off. Can’t figure out how to pacify him. My brother-in-law looks at me and asks, “Have you tried the Konami code?”
Hm. Why not? I take his hands.
“Up up”, we do the motions as I say it. “Down down, left right left right.”
“B” I poke his knee.
“A” His tummy gets a prod.
“Start” Nose honk. “Hm, nothing.”
NOTE: If you try this, DO NOT poke the soft spot on the head. That is the “reset” switch.

I actualy laughed out loud at the last bit
I’m inclined to think the soft spot is more of a single-use Power switch, but you still do NOT want to press it.
I think the Konami Code works best with toddlers. The only downside is that they run around in public saying things like “Press my B button again!”
Ha! I would’ve tried Johnny Cage’s fatality from the original Mortal Combat. Forward, forward, forward, high punch.
Hmm, maybe not,
Going by the pic, it looks like you forgot “Select”…maybe that’s why it didn’t work?
