A little confusion over the @NAME thing — it is NOT your account name, nor should you give it the same name (for security reasons). A commenter on Bio Break explained:
“Your CO forum alias is also your @name in the game. It doesn’t have to be your account name. Choose wisely, though, as I have read several rants on the forums by people very irritated that their silly forum name was going to be their game name.”
For example, I am @Syp in game — but that certainly is not my account name. FYI.

That’s fucked up. Mine is the same because I use the same login name for lots of things (different passwords though…). And it’s not a silly name necessarily, but if I had known this was the case I might have made it something I didn’t mind seeing in chat every time I speak. UGH.
In other news, the Subscription offers are back!
Hrm, can the forum name be changed? I was unaware and think I did it the same as my account name. I’ll have to look into this.
At the time I did not know that this name would even be tied to the account so I didn’t think much of it.

Yeah, I created an account on the Cryptic site way before they even started discussing the single server and username as the means of disambiguation of character names.
Guess I’ll need to call Support to find out how to change it.
Yeah mine was originally an STO forum name so it doesn’t really make sense in CO…
