I’m kind of sad, I haven’t seen a Chuck Norris yet. I did see a John McClane (barefoot and all!) which was pretty cool.
I jumped casually into Champions earlier this week. It is a lot of fun. Creating costumes is way too addicting. I am still trying to figure out all the options as there are so many. If only all MMOs had this kind of character creation. The odds of ALTitis are huge! I already have three toons I’m running around in the starter area.
I love the graphic style of this game a lot as it has a neat comic book feel to it. I’ve seen some pretty cool designs running around and some not so cool. But to each their own.
So far I’ve encountered the following:

- Twin Guns and Trenchcoat
- Another Video Game Character (Bright Wizard from WAR)

I think Anime Anything could easily be replaced with Dragonball anything. I don’t know how many Gokus and Vegetas I’ve run into – but I’m surprised no one has done a Future Trunks or something. Single Blade/Force would be perfect.

I was running around on my Comedian clone (named Blake) in pvp when I encountered…. The Comedian (named “The Comedian”). My team thought it was hilarious, which considering our namesake it WAS sorta hilarious. Guess the joke was on us

I’ve actually seen about 5 F. Trunks so far.
Guilty on the “twin guns with trenchcoat” thing. At least my character has an oriental dragon emblem on her trenchcoat for a bit of variety.
Best “historical” I saw was a character called Flaming Lincoln which was a pretty good Abe Lincoln clone… who then turned on Fire Form and laid waste to a bunch of Foxbat’s goons.
Still not seen anything to match the surreal sight in the early days of City of Heroes, when I encountered Ronald McDonald beating the crap out some Skulls gangers.

My ‘twin guns & trenchcoat’ character is actually a ghost, with ethereal blue fire flight, colouration, and everything.
I know, not a heck of a lot more original, but it’s better than just twin guns and a trenchcoat!
I tried to make a Spike from Cowboy Beebop, but there is no hair in the inventory that can quite match his, spiked afro. so I guess I failed at ‘anime anything’.

The only one that I haven’t seen is Chuck Norris. Then again, I was making a character named Charles Morris, but stopped just before I made him. Does that count? If so then I’ve cleared the entire board! Go me.
I made a giant toad type character named Toad that I was wondering if I was going to have someone tell me that I cloned Pimple from Battletoads. When I got around to remaking him on live guess who I saw at the public quest in the tutorial? Pimple. He looks smaller in person.

You also forgot the “Default” guy. Everytime I make a new toon, I see a default blue/yellow character with a blue mask. :S
I made Friendly Fire from the live action The Tick show (he was The Fiery Blaze’s sidekick). I also made a Flowchart Ken (from SF4) but I hate the MA power set now, so I don’t use him.
The most boring looking one I made was a Blue Sun Agent (from Firefly/Serenity).

i had a pirate myself, with fire flight but changed the color of fire from yellow to blue, so it had a ghostly effect, someone even complimented my toon for that.
my main toon was alex mercer (hood, leather jacket, jeans and shoes)
also one of my toons was old snake from metal gear solid 4 (bandana, eyepatch, harness, twin guns, and mustache) which i was really proud of
oh and i saw dr. manhattan, roschach running around in the beginning zone

I actually saw half this list in one guy. There was a guy running around called “Copyright Infringement Man.” Cyclops Eyepiece, Space Marine Shoulder, Batman chest/chest logo, Superman’s cape, etc. I was too stunned to take a pic sadly.
I’m only missing a Batman. Can’t believe I haven’t seen him yet.
Two of the more creative ones I’ve seen are Abe 2.0 – a robotic Abe Lincoln, and someone who made a Bruce Banner/Hulk char where his costume changes between builds. He’s a spitting image for Bruce complete with labcoat in what I’m guessing is the support build, and he switches to a dead-on match for the Hulk in what’s probably a dps or protection build.
I’ve seen too many that look like someone just hit the random button and took the first result. I’m mean seriously – flippers for feet, a skeletal head, and big honkin’ staellite dish shoulders with robotic arms? What are you smoking?
That begs for a worst looking character screenshot contest. Redact the names to protect the innocent.

Some people might count my toon’s Tank build Costume as a ‘Space Marine’, mainly because it’s a power armour with the large Emblem Shoulder.
However I would like to point out that it’s very hard to make a large Power Armour type costume without making it look vaguely Space-Marine-ish.
Still, yes I’ve seen plenty of actual Space Marines and I think Chuck and Batman are the only ones I haven’t seen. Wait… Does Man-Bat could for Batman? If so, Bingo!

I’m kinda surprised at how many people haven’t seen a Chuck Norris running around out there yet. I seem to stumble over one just about every other time I log in.
On the other hand, I’ve yet to see a Samus. Seen most of the others though, responsible for a few myself, but only one made it out of open beta: One-Color Only (a dark-power hero who’s — surprise, surprise — all black). I submitted an evil clown to the IGN Character Creator Contest though (Mecha-Clownzilla).
In open beta, I had both a Marvel clone (Viet Nam Flashbacks Man, AKA the Punisher — wanted his name to be Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Man, but that was 2 letters too long), and a DC clone (Fruitbat Man). Decided it was in my best interest to nix those two once the game went live.
XD This is full of win.
