Happy Days in LOTRO

Just two things that made me really happy in LOTRO yesterday:

  1. I finally got my lifetime subscription!
  2. I won the spring lottery!

I’ve never had a lifetime sub before, but knowing that I’m in LOTRO for the long haul makes it worthwhile to me — and I have the freedom to put it down when I want to without being concerned that I’m not getting my money’s worth.

As for the lottery, it’s a really cool little feature, and I was surprised to see my character get seven letters’ worth of winnings: 100 silver, a piece of ambient music for my house, a ton of fireworks, and (oddly enough) a single skirmish mark.

    Congrats on both!

The life-time sub is very nice. I have the same feeling with a monthly sub. I feel like I need to play quite a bit to make it worth the money.

Grats! I bought a lifetime sub waaay back when the game launched. I’m very happy about that now. :)

  3. Grats! I’ve had a lifetime subscription since launch, which was a gamble at the time, but I’ve never regretted it. Removing the pressure of having to “get your money’s worth” really does make a difference. You can play when you want and not worry about it when you don’t.

  4. That’s great, man. Having the lifetime is really freeing. I probably never would have got past the brown zones if I wasn’t able to leave and come back without the subscription cost. Good purchase :-)

And lucky you on the lottery thing, too. That’s awesome.

  5. After reading this post, I went over to my.lotro, since I just started playing for the first time since launch, and entered the lottery. Twenty minutes later, I’m a winner. Maybe I should follow your doings more often.

Gratz – lifetime sub here also for LOTRO – Currently a 40L Hunter – However, DDO Unlimited is starting to take more and more of my time the last 2 weeks. Might have to go back to a monthly with DDO
