Always fun to try to log in right as the servers open — there’s that thrill of being “there” at the start, followed by the annoyance of 1000+ other people trying to shove through the same door. So… I guess I have a half-hour wait to go?
That’s not going to ruin my excitement tho! Happy Riftday everyone!

European servers are running with 4k queues
Grrr… I want to log and play Rift… But never mind the queues I’m stuck in a hotel 25 hours away from even starting to download the release client.
Somebody on the English EU servers save a Gedlo for me will you?
Not that I mind missing the initial gate-rush, but I’m still about an hour from finishing the download on my laptop. I had my desktop all patched and ready to go… and then got called away from my home for the day. Ah, well… there’s always this evening!
hhhmph. Stuck in a 9 hour plus queue.

Sitting here looking at a queue of 482 right now, but an hour ago it was 1100 and something. Seems to be dropping in big chunks. Still hoping to get on this evening, but I have 11 days off work starting tomorrow so I can afford to be patient
Meanwhile, back to Fippy Darkpaw while I wait.
I’m in… have a level 3 Dwarf Bard/Riftstalker… just putzing around. Yay!
I got out of the starting zone, got ahead of the curve, then went for a snack. Came back, curve had caught up with me.
So, instead, I’ll wait until 10AM (GMT) tomorrow and do all the questing then, since I’m sure there’ll be much less people.
My guild seems pretty awesome though
