Reminds of the remix/reuse Jeremy Soule did of the Morrowind theme in Oblivion and Skyrim. I thought it completely lost its magic in the transition. Then again, I regard the Morrowind theme as one of the finest video game themes ever composed, so it was already hard to top that. Perhaps he shouldn’t have changed it as much as he did.
Chance fares better here, but I still prefer the original themes.
I think this is ok for the most part, but there is a section about two-thirds of the way in that gave me a “Star Trek” vibe. That part sounded very jarring and out-of-place to me. I enjoyed the music in the fly-through trailer a lot more than this selection.

This got me thinking about the state of Lotro’s music, so I wrote a blog post about. It was quite enjoyable going through all the old music!
