Only been in The Secret World for a little bit (I’m Yeti on Arcadia, say hi if you’re on!), but dang, am I loving this game. I’m going to save longer impressions for later, but three quick things:
1. I was able to make a female character that isn’t incredibly ugly.
2. These zombies are appropriately terrifying if you look at them up close.
3. Every game needs to let me have a shotgun. I’m backwheeling and shouting “WHEEEEE! KA-BLAM!” all the way home.

I guess I was lucky. I made a female last weekend that I could live with. (No really, I could have lived with her.) ;P I’ll have to see ho it goes went I do get into the game.

Went heard and pre-ordered the game since I was going to go ahead and play it anyway. Decided waiting later to play was just stupid!

On Faerie (or arcadia for the insecure) think this is my 20th run through KM and still loving it. Glad you enjoy it, have fun!
Are you sure she’s not ugly? Take a look at the side profile, I bet it’s all messed up.
I wasn’t able to make one that wasn’t ugly, and since the editor is very limited (unless they added more options), would continue to be hard to do.
I wasn’t able to figure out how to make a female without too-long, puffy cheeks. It’s like there’s an added inch in the head model just below nose level that gives everybody a horse face.
Also on Arcadia, the server seems to have gathered a good bunch of people so far (judging from the lack of trolling in the chat and the Help channel actually being helpful – for a change)

My guess would be that the blast of the shotgun keeps knocking him (her) back but I doubt they factored the kick of the gun into the ‘reality’ of the gaming experience otherwise you’d only be able to fire off a dozen or so shots before you had to stop to nurse your shoulder
“Backwheeling” I would guess is a lot like backpeddlng or the healer dance as I like to call it. Got to be aware not to back into respawing mobs …or the random zombies that run around.
As an Oceanic player I’ve ended up on Huldra with the rest of my cabal. But Arcadia was our next choice as we thought it would have a much more mature crowd who would refrain from posting spoliers into general chat. I might roll my Dragon on there. Good thing with TSW is I can still join my Cabal on Huldra.
