Ghostfire (twin pistols/sorcery) - he's all about the purples and blacks! Don't think I'm going to play him much for now, however.

Framerate issues notwithstanding, I had a great time last night.  It was fun to see a lot of friends in the game (and the @name system is growing on me, for sure).  I even spent a bit of time learning the ropes of the crafting system, which is pretty useful — you can make your own inventory bags, which is certainly useful.

In an unrelated question, is there some reason why the default setting for females in Champions is “porn star”?  All females start out with the maximum bust size and the “vixen” pose, free of charge.

Cryptic did announce its first post-launch content patch, Blood Moon.  Looks like a Halloween event, with the new Celestial powerset, and the opportunity to turn into a zombie or werewolf.  Neat-o!

The bust and vixen pose is to help out when having “sluttiest avatar” contests.

Nicely done costume. To be fair to Cryptic about the bewbs and default poses, you can’t sneeze in a comic book store without getting snot on some chesty, scantily clad female comic character. It’s in the cards.

Any word from Cryptic about what the patch status is? They going to listen and roll it back or do they believe it was the right move?

Hey Syp – good to see ya again. I’m @ventris if you want to add me to your friends list. Main is Parabellum, alts (oh you know I’ll have alts) are Glory and Desolation Angel (so far, the game is young!).

But… but… what if your character is ALREADY a werewolf!?

@ JoBildo – Then you become a Starbucks monkey.

You should see the cover of the latest issue of Play Magazine. It’s a brilliantly drawn “Tentacle Porn” piece that got me drooling over the Wii’s Muramasa. Then I saw actual screenshots & gameplay footage (which were nothing like the cover art) and I forgot all about Overlord:Dark Legend and said “Hell, yeah! I want this game!”

I think some people just hit the random button and jump in.

That burly guy had to just be an awesome joke. The other day I saw a ridiculously muscled and armed guy named “The Compensator” who only took Big Gun powers.

Agreed on the vixen thing – women should default to, um, default, the same as men.

Because the penis lives closer to the wallet than the brain.

Glad to see someone saying something positive about CO.

I’m really enjoying the game and I’m frankly puzzled by the amount of hate already seething around it.

Oh wait, I was at the official forums. That explains it. 🙂

I think the average bust size for comic heroines is a backbreakingly perky DD

    @Pete –
The change to defensive powers was drastic but needed, it just threw plenty of people with the inability to fully respec things.

@ Andrew – I never, ever enjoy CAD. Buckley is a despicable person and a lazy artist to boot. (that said, that was pretty funny)
