Quote of the Day

“Fallen Earth: The first MMO in a long time not to have me checking my watch and XP meter as I rush to hit ‘endgame.’  I’m actually crafting!  It has refreshing depth imho.  Maybe it’s just the change of scenery (post-apoc vs. fantasy), but I just get lost in all its wonder.”

    It’s true! 😀

I think a huge part of it is that I feel like a complete newbie in Fallen Earth due to the very different combat, crafting, and RPG mechanics. Tack on to that a completely new and refreshing world (to me who is generally a fantasy nut) and I feel truly immersed when I play.

I also think they disguise “the grind” quite well because everything you do contributes to your level and you earn AP in chunks rather than all at once.

Finally, there’s the feeling that my journey is truly epic and meaningful. It feels like there’s this established baseline of poverty and hardship and that only the vigilant will survive and prosper.

Isn’t that how we all play MMORPGs every day? 🙂
