Thank Goodness

A real breakthrough in Tobold/Syncaine’s marital counseling.

Also, thanks for making me snort Big K Diet Cola out of my nose with the phrase “e-rep”.

  1. I have enjoyed the ‘rivalry’ and pot shots if I’m honest.

One one side you have Tobold – The carebear who can say or do no wrong and on the other side you have the blood thirsty SynCaine – A pvp player who likes to ruffle feathers and shoot from the hip.

I’ve actually warmed to SynCaines blog over the past year despite not always agreeing with what he writes, this is probably mainly down to his passion for a game he loves. Sure his temperament and tact can be called into question on occassions however to make an omelette you gotta break some eggs and his comment sections always make for interesting reading.

Tobolds blog on the other hand has become predictable and his latest few posts about turning comments off or on and holding a poll just smacks of attention whore wanting people to massage his ‘e-rep’. He is probably one of the most successful MMO bloggers so he should expect some jealous comments or folk just being ass-hats. I just feel he takes things too personal, words are words and can be deleted or ignored.

  2. Like I’ve said before. Tobold and Syncaine are secret lovers. It’s the only logical explanation.

Hell, my wife and I don’t fight as much as those two do.

  3. Syncaines love story with Darkfall is no different than Tobolds with WoW imo, they both have bigoted opinion beyond their chosen game.

Check out Tobolds latest on Fallen Earth… smacks a bit of ‘Holier than thou’, ‘told ya so!’

  4. pitrelli, true enough. I’ve just gotten to the point where I ignore Tobold’s WoW posts, since I can just go to dozens of other places for that. T’s non-WoW posts still manage to be interesting more often than Syncaine’s; his non-Darkfall posts are mostly just snark and sniping these days. He used to have more ponderous, thoughtful ones more frequently. That’s why I frequented the place in the first place.

Then again, I pretty much ignore them both more and more. Ditto for Gevlon’s place. *shrug*
