  1. WildStar, EQ Next, The Repopulation, World of Darkness, ArcheAge, Darkfall UW.

I also added Titan. I actually know (or at least presume) more about it than about World of Darkness or EQ Next, so it made sense for me to add it to the list.

Ohh and there’s also Camelot Unchained. Mark Jacobs managed to hype me up pretty good already.

  2. I’m sure you heard all about Camelot Unleashed the past 2 days – holy crap it sounds fantastic! The lore and story could probably carry the game alone!!

  3. What’s interesting is how even though we can select as many MMOs as we want to be interested in, the polls seem to show the people only choose one or two that they follow.

  4. That’s a very handy checklist. I canseee myself coming back to it over the next year or two.

I checked seven titles, sticking just to the ones I’m all but sure to play. That’s still too many, given I have no intention of giving up the dozen or more MMOs I am already attempting to find time for .

ESO isn’t on my watchlist, though. Didn’t like any of the offline series so at least that’s one less to fit in.

  5. The only one I checked is Neverwinter. I’m worried that it’s from Cryptic — Star Trek: Online is easily the worst MMO I’ve played — but everything I’ve seen about it so far seems pretty good. I’m very interested in any action MMO that isn’t TERA, I like the race choices, the combat videos look pretty fun, and it all seems very geared towards casual play and accessibility.

There are a few others I’ll probably try — Wildstar and maybe City of Steam — but I’m not terribly excited about them. Mildly curious at best.

And, of course, there’s Titan. I’m not sure I have space in my life for yet another Blizzard game, but I haven’t been able to resist anything they’ve done to date.

All I could think of reading this was TOR and TSW. Great story helps sell but doesn’t help maintain. Too bad though.

  7. For all but a handful of those games, my honest answer is that they’re too far out to know whether they’ll be worth playing. I just don’t take anything seriously anymore about any game that’s still under NDA. I would love to be excited about Marvel heroes, but given that Syp’s not-encouraging preview was the most positive thing I’ve seen on the title, well, “looking forward to playing” is unfortunately a bit of a stretch.

  8. I am only following information for two of those games, so that is what I choose. There may be others in the that I might end up playing – but in general I do not spend much time following future MMOs. When they get quite close to release that might change a bit.

(City of Steam and The Repopulation were my choices)

  9. Googly moogly; those are all new games in the making??

I won’t be playing any of them as I am typically …Sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread. I will stay in Lorien as my idea of “checking out something new” doesn’t extend past the next lotro quest.

I’ll be here to read about your checking them out though. 😀
