What’s your favorite MMO music track?

Let me know in the comments — and a few remarks about it — because we’re looking for a couple more tracks for Battle Bards’ upcoming listener request show!

One caveat — it can’t be a track we’ve already done (you might have to do a search on Battle Bards to check). Let me know!

Well, Invincible from World of Warcraft is my favourite, but it seems you’ve already done that. According to the search, you haven’t mentioned The Land Will Weep from Cataclysm yet, though, and that seems like an oversight that deserves to be corrected.

I would also nominate Nightsong (Cataclysm) and Watchers on the Wall (Mists of Pandaria).

    I really like WoW’s soundtrack.

Because of the strong feelings and the memories, because of the love I have for this MMO. And even when it’s hard to listen to this song without getting sad, just because so much time has passed: The title song from Ultima Online.

We actually covered Stones on our very first episode of Battle Bards!

My current favorite track is the Dream Theme from Glitch.

It’s a stripped down, piano only piece that was the ambient music for Distant End and Uutiif, two kind of end of the world zones that were added with all of the other ‘in progress’ stuff after the eventual shutdown was announced. To me this piece walks the fine line of being somber without feeling mournful. It has just enough of a waltzing bounce to keep everything moving, and not get bogged down. Mostly i’ve been in love with it recently because it loops really well and makes a great piece to play while i try to put my baby to sleep.

Side note, i’m surprised you guys haven’t featured more pieces from Glitch on the show. At least you got the Groddle Theme in, which is the basis of many of the best tunes. Personally i’m fond of the Marching Band and Enchanted Forest variations.

Glitch does deserve more play, for sure. It’s an enchanting little soundtrack.

Yea, I know you covered Stones, Syp, but it’s my favourite anyway. 🙂 Just sticked to the question. 😀

The ending song of the FFXI: Chains of Promathia expansion. It’s a vocal track though.

Didn’t like the game but the soundtrack from Lineage II is still one of my favorites. Original Guild Wars close second.

I have always loved the Sholazar Basin soundtrack. While it might not be the best out of all the amazing music that WoW actually has for me it brings back fond memories of continuing Hemet Nesingwarys plot to exterminate all animal life on Azeroth.
