    W-what… did I just read…? 😮

    I don’t often type this, but… LOL!

I actually found the aftermath of this in Highmountain yesterday. Marcus is now an actual NPC you can meet.

Mercifully, I found him sufficiently after the fact to spare my sanity the worst of it.

Funny. I always pictured Marcus having black hair for some reason.

Yeah I saw a teepee with Marcus and the two tauren in there, the Pally woke up and walked out. Just now made the connection.

See, it’s this sort of little touch and detail that I’ve always admired about Blizzard. They sprinkle in little bits that have no purpose other than a joke or flavor… but give it the same level of effort (if not more). Even with the absurdity of this, it fits, and tells me that the people making this game genuinely love it… and that is missing from a lot of other games.

@Nick That’s because lots of these other games don’t have any budget to spare for such “useless” content.

These WoW books concept is ripped off from The Elders Scrolls, where you sometimes have the equivalent of small novels to read in-game for things that doesn’t have any link to the game actual quests or main story.

You can be sure that, if given enough money to hire all kinds of people like Blizzard, these other games you’re talking about would also have much fluff content.
