Sunday Serenade: Paolo Pellegrino, Voidrun, and more!

Time for another Sunday morning dose of random songs that I’ve been listening to this past week! Welcome to Sunday Serenade — now let’s crank the jams up with…

“Head & Heart” by Joel Corry — A toe-tapping, tub-thumping chorus sealed the deal for this one.

“Wake Up!” by Michael Oakley and Ollie Wride — Another great addition to the new retro wave scene.

“Prison” from Punch Club — I don’t know what a Punch Club is, but it’s got a funky soundtrack.

“Korbulys” from Voidrun — A great fast-paced arcade track with a modern chiptune sound.

“High Hopes” by Panic! At the Disco — This one works so hard to win you over, and by the end, I had to respond to that. Very upbeat!

“Homesick” by Declan J Donovan — Really great, heartfelt chorus. One of those songs you’re singing along with before you’ve finished your first listen.

“I See Your Rainbow” by Panteros666 — Killer beat on this one. Probably wouldn’t have made this list without it.

“’74 – ’75” by Paolo Pellegrino — There’s a definite earworm quality to this one. Had to listen to it multiple times in a row when I first came across it.

“Cali Girl” by Papa Ya — Oooh yeah, I really dig this one. Had to crank it aaaaaall the way up.

“Party Lights” by Tommie Sunshine — I’m not sold on the flat chorus, but the ’80s bent is kind of infectious.
