Sunday Serenade: Octopath Traveler, Smith & Thell, and more!

Time for another Sunday morning dose of random songs that I’ve been listening to this past week! Welcome to Sunday Serenade — now let’s crank the jams up with…

“Main Theme” from Octopath Traveler — Is it possible for a new theme to a game you’ve never played before to sound instantly nostalgic?

“Forgive Me Friend” by Smith and Thell — Such a punchy, uplifting song. Really love it, especially when the chorus kicks in.

“Dumb” from Smith and Thell — I feel like this band is my discovery of the week. SO MANY good songs.

“Elation” by Maffick — Nothing fancy, but it’s a pretty decent club track that I ended up looping for a while.

“Haunted House” by Skazi — Hey, this would’ve been great last month…

“Monster” by Huts — It’s short, it’s silly, but it’s also kinda catchy.

“Missing Sunny Days” by Skae — Good workout/driving track. Maybe if you’re making a movie montage too?

“So Flute” by St Germain — A flute-led dance track? Groovy.

“The Sarsaparilla Fields” from The Smurfs — A really underappreciated NES soundtrack with a ton of great tunes.

“Dragon Jive” by SLL — A funky little track done in the Amiga style.

“Rich and Famous” by SJUR and Isac Elliot — Kind of dumb lyrics, to be honest, but it’s one of those songs that you end up singing along with anyway.
