WAR: Battle of the Bulge

A few weeks after the boys and girls of Karak Eight Peaks breached the walls of Altdorf to take down Order’s king, folks on the Eltharion EU server kicked Destruction square in the gibblets by taking down the Inevitable City and capturing their king.

Warhammer Alliance has the story and pictures, which is all well and good.

Hey, North America?  Why you slacking when Europe’s doing the dirty deeds that need done?

  1. I’ve been wondering when we were going to hear about some US city captures. Are US servers just more competitive so no one side has that big an advantage?

  2. I think US Servers are just more competitive. We get into IC/Altdorf on a fairly regular basis but usually the city is defended fairly well on either side.

What were the populations of the EU Servers?

  3. I am playing on Eltharion and belive me, capturing of Tchar’zanek was just a peak of great RvR. IC and Altdorf sieges are going on regullary and most of the times, cities are really well defended.

Our tactic in first stage of attack was small (20-30) well organised groups in each instance, killing destruction players. When there is 48vs.25 in instance, those 25 players have much more victory points per kill. IMHO best way to get past fist stage is not farming free instances (everyone does that on most servers and nothing happens), but killing enemy players.

BTW two days after capturing of IC, we got thight fight on second order fort. Actually, there is more Destro lvl 40 on Eltharion – 1.26:1. So we defend (at least on forts) much more often. And that is how i like it :D.
