I’m all packed up and ready to head out for PAX East, so if you’re joining me there, have a great trip as well! I have kinship pals who are actually driving there from farther away, so I can’t complain at having to get up early and spending a half day at the airport.
I’ve tried very hard to pack lighter than normal, not just for swag room, but because I hate carting around more than I have to, especially during the day. Netbook, Kindle, iPhone, maps, clothes, business cards with candy attached (and YES you may have one if you find me!).
I’m almost fatigued from all the planning and preparation, so I’m just going to let go and have a good time. My work-work schedule is lighter than it was at PAX Prime, so I’m going to just spend more time hanging with folks and checking out games.
Don’t forget — Bloggers & Breakfast on Saturday morning! I’ll even up the ante: the first cup of coffee is on me for anyone who comes. Limit, er, 40 people tops. I don’t want my wife to kill me.
Also, I realize not everyone can make that, so I’m going to be on Twitter a bit more than usual, so if you want to say hi or share a meal, check that (@Sypster) and just let me know. We’ll probably be going out to dinner Thursday evening and I wouldn’t mind more company.
Finally, this — this is cool. I’ve always been drumming on the notion that studios should give players more things to do while they wait for release, and the ability to form guilds that will transfer right into the game is a terrific one. Hope it doesn’t bork!
